Recent / updated sites and resources

The Last Rose NEW URL
A Russian site containing, among other things, beautiful and very uniquely-syled DK fan-art, especially Zoi.
Ex address was www.zoisite.wallst.ru/ and if you go there, before the automatic re-direct, you can have a glimpse of the beautiful previous layout. *insert fangirl squeals here*

Stayka's Dark Kingdom Home
http://stayka.keyspace.de/dkhome/index.html
part of Stayka DeyAvemta's site, that also contains Stayka's Bishounen Gallery and Stayka's Saint Seiya Archive.
A cool german lady with definitely good tastes (she loves Zoi and Kunzite almost as much as I do), and phenomenal work force : her DK site contains more screen caps, fan-fic (not just hers) and stuff than any other. Even animated Gifs of some Zoi/Kun scenes from the anime. Just too cute.

Old Dark Kingdom Sites - no longer updated AFAIK

ZOI! Raining Storms of Sakura
Zoisite's shrine, by Azure. Profile, Zoi and Kunzite, enemies, and other stuff.

THE TEMPLE OF KUNZITE AND ZOISITE
Very old and not updated, but features the "Tux Sux" page ^_^

In Metallia's name : A Dark Kingdom Webpage
Lots of fan-fiction (I recommand "Can't Take it Anymore", very angsty and very beautiful), and also sound clips of the original Japanese dub (oh dear! I'd never heard Zoi's real voice! Rather cute).

Chaotic Space
Site of EnsignZoi : the fan-fiction is worth a read.

Dies, nox et omnia
A site dedicated to the Dark Kingdom. Neat and interesting, with contents on Sapphire, Prince Demando and Helios as well.

DarkKingdom.com
Profiles, stuff about the gemstonesthe Kings are named after... They use graphics from the video game.

A.T.O.S.A.K.I. (Sailor Moon fanart and fan-fic)
A (rather) small Sailor Moon fan-stuff that is worth mentioning here for Becca Onee-chan's fan-fiction "Blood Moon", a rather unusual epic centered on an even more unusual pairing : Kunzite/ Usagi. That I eventually enjoyed. Yep. Even though I'm a die-hard Zoi/Kunzite shipper.

This other Russian page also has fanart, including many Zoisite pics (some of which with Kunzite).
Why do they never come out when you do search on Google other than by looking for pics? *grrrr*

Fanfic Sites (not Shitennou-exclusive)

Aestheticism
A shoujo, shounen-ai, and yaoi community.
One of the first important yaoi sites in U.S., that developped into a doujinshi, manga, magazine, chinese manga and artbook cypbershop. It's also a very good place to find pretty good fan-fic.
Unfortunately (for the slasher in me), NC-17 stories are restricted to people who are member of Aestheticism AND gave proof of their age. And the last part can't be done without giving out your true ID and that's something I never do on-line :P
Fortunately though... They did rate a Kizuna fic "R" while I don't see how it could be more graphic than that *mischievous grin* (it's called "A Need for Shelter", by Sahari, and it's good)
And they also host (NC-17 unfortunately) a 3-parts fic that is probably one of my favorite Zoi/Kun fics (the first really good one I read, I think), "The Ballad of Zoe and Malachite" by Windlily (despite the title, it's a male Zoisite fic).
Well, I could have done without the rape scene *irk*, but the rest was inventive and well written and the characters are as psycho as I like them to be.
And I still have it somewhere in backups from when it was on a fic site without restriction.

Actually, the Ballad and the Shelter are the two fics I always end up re-reading when I'm in the mood for... uh, that.

The Obsidian Tower
A fanfic universe based on Sailor Moon. Dianna Silver wrote a whole new background for the Shitennou, who become here Gemlords of Lithos.

Old and dead Sites

Green in Grey: A Shrine to Zoisite
As indicated... detailed info on the blonde psycho killer, interesting fanwork, as well as *gasp* doujinshi scans (I want them! They're not much the smutty type though) (2009/02 : still "temporarily closed")

Dark Kingdom Playground
Description of the Dark Kingdom members (The Shitennou, Evil Tuxedo Kamen, and the Queen), images, info on the seiyuu, fan-art and fanfic.
(2009/02 : gone 404)

The Scrumdiddlyumptious Dark Kingdom Love Revival
Soylent Green's site presents her beautiful fan-art (one of my favorite ever) and fan-fiction, as well as many others.
Among which I'd recommand "The Bitter Glass", by Mara Celes if you're in the mood for something very angsty and dark, and if you have the guts for it. It's rough and often disturbing, but gripping.

The Library
Home of E. Liddel's notorious sagas, including the Crystal Weaver. This is a classic among the DK fandom, and with some reasons. She managed to do something I barely ever could, which is treating all characters with nearly equal interest, thus allowing them to develop quite nicely along the story. I mean, she wrote a *good*, serious, rather touching story with *good* character development, based on Sailor Moon (even though she used US names, but at least Zoi is male).
(2009/02 : gone 404)

Chibi Zoicite
You know that I'm not a die hard fan of Zoicite (the DIC female Zoi), but this site is a bubble of cheerfulness among all the angst-driven sites about the Shitennou. It is about Chibi Zoicite, daughter of Zoicite and Malachite (though the author recently included a series of fan-fiction in an "alternate" universe - the one with male Zoisite). The fics and art are cute and bubbly, so if you're not allergic to this, check it out.
(2009/02 : gone 404)

Peppermint Storm
A pretty and funny site about specifically the *manga* Dark Kingdom, as opposed to this one. Neat and very informative.
(2009/02 : gone 404)

Yaoi Shrine
Site of Sahari (author of the fore-mentioned "A Need for Shelter" Kizuna fic), who writes pretty good stories. It's yaoi, though, as the site title indicates. Not for all readers.
